ZMK & Co. invites applications for the position of District Urban Immunization Facilitator (NOA Level Equivalent) to support the Provincial EPI Directorate, Punjab. There are 5 positions available – one each for the following cities:
📍 Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Gujranwala
Purpose of the Job:
The District Urban Immunization Facilitator will play a key role in strengthening urban immunization programming by supporting planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of routine and supplementary immunization services at the district level. The role includes oversight of mobile units, social behavior change activities, coordination with key stakeholders, and contributing to improved vaccination coverage in underserved urban areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the district and provincial EPI and IRMNCH programs in the planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of urban immunization services.

Oversee mobile immunization units, independent program monitoring (IPM), and UNICEF-led demand generation and SBC activities.

Facilitate mapping of slum areas in coordination with DHA and EPI staff for better immunization outreach via routine services and clinic-on-wheels.

Organize and participate in district/provincial coordination meetings and national events like World Immunization Week (WIW), World Health Day (WHD), SIAs, and HPV vaccine campaigns.

Conduct field visits to monitor immunization delivery and ensure the implementation of action plans based on IPM findings.

Implement community-based strategies for identifying and tracking missed children, including digital referrals.

Coordinate with other sectors (Education, Nutrition, MNCH, IMCI, WASH, etc.) to strengthen immunization coverage.

Collaborate with SBC Consultant Punjab to plan and implement SBC activities at the district level.

Work with EVM Coordinator for cold chain equipment management and with ESMP Coordinator for safe waste disposal practices.

Support SIAs, WIW 2025, HPV campaigns, outbreak responses, and regular district-level review meetings.

Assist in integrating EPI-PEI synergy under the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) framework.

Perform other tasks assigned by DHS EPI Punjab or UNICEF Punjab teams.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
-
An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a relevant field.

A first university degree in a relevant field plus two additional years of relevant professional experience in EPI may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
Skills & Experience:

3–5 years of experience in:
-
Public health program planning and management in a developing country context.
-
EPI-related work in Pakistan, particularly at provincial and district levels.

Demonstrated knowledge of the EPI framework, health systems, and community-based mobilization.

Experience in planning and implementing social behavior change (SBC) and demand generation activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven coordination experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
-
Fluency in English and proficiency in Punjabi are required. Knowledge of another UN or local language is an asset.
