Job Description:
Scope of Work: Social Media Consultant
The Social Media Consultant will be responsible for planning, creating, executing, and evaluating social media strategies to amplify the visibility and engagement of the National Youth Helpline (NYHL). The consultant's core responsibilities include the following:
1. Content Development
- Design and develop creative, engaging, and youth-friendly content for social media platforms including Meta (Facebook & Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter).
- Ensure that all content aligns with the core thematic areas of NYHL, including psychosocial support, reproductive health, and youth educational concerns.
- Create optimized content for NYHL landing pages to support traffic redirection through paid campaigns, SMS broadcasts, and telemarketing initiatives.
- Maintain consistency of messaging and visual identity across all channels including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and SMS platforms.
- Develop and maintain targeted, campaign-specific landing pages to ensure seamless cross-channel integration.
2. Platform Utilization
- Implement regular content publishing schedules, including posts and stories, on all major platforms to ensure continuous engagement with youth audiences.
- Design, plan, and manage social media campaigns in alignment with NYHL goals.
- Coordinate with telecom partners to design and execute region-specific bulk SMS and WhatsApp alert campaigns tailored to targeted demographics.
3. Interactive Engagement
- Design and execute interactive digital campaigns, such as hashtag challenges (e.g.#SpeakUpWithNYHL), to foster participation, dialogue, and awareness among young users.
- Promote culturally sensitive, inclusive messaging encourages engagement across genders and diverse social backgrounds.
- Encourage user-generated content and peer-to-peer engagement to enhance organic reach.
4. Monitoring & Analytics
- Track and monitor campaign performance across all platforms using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, impressions, engagement (likes, comments, shares), click-through rates, and helpline usage.
- Generate regular analytics reports providing insights and actionable recommendations to refine social media strategies and targeting.
- Continuously assess audience behavior and adapt content and campaign approaches accordingly.
Deliverables
- Monthly social media content calendars along with corresponding creative assets.
- Custom-designed landing pages aligned with ongoing campaign objectives.
- Monthly performance reports summarizing social media engagement, youth outreach, and helpline service uptake.
- Detailed documentation of SMS and WhatsApp outreach campaigns, including performance metrics and regional impact analysis.
- Strategic recommendations based on performance data to enhance content quality and audience engagement.
