A national non-profit organization requires dynamic professionals to fill the above position on contract basis.

Job Summary:   To provide a professional laboratory service supporting the curative and preventive programme in Health Centre/EmOC Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities         

A: CLINICAL :

• Routine laboratory examinations.
• Specialized tests.
• Collection and referral of specimens for culture and sensitivity tests.
• Arrangement, maintenance/and care of equipment.
• Reporting any loss, damage or malfunction of equipment as soon as possible, to expedite action to maintain the lab services with minimum interruption.

B:  ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Keeping up-to-date registers and records.
• Writing accurate monthly reports.
• Maintenance of records of laboratory revenue.

C:  OTHER DUTIES:

• Participating in training programmes.
• Participating in health education.
• Carrying out any other tasks as required by the Team Leader.

Education and Knowledge:

Certificate of having successfully completed a training course from a recognized institute as a medical laboratory technician or BS Medical Lab Tech.

Work Experience:

Preferably two year’s work experience in a medical setting.

Preference will be given to local candidates.
