Assistant Manager, HR & Engagement

Location: Islamabad | Reports to: Managing Director, RADS

We’re looking for a dynamic people-person to lead RADS’ HR and engagement portfolio with innovation, empathy, and tech-savvy precision. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on relationship-building, loves using digital tools to solve operational problems, and can independently design systems that boost both team performance and organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities

1)   People-centric HR Leadership

  • Build and manage recruitment, onboarding, performance systems, and team capacity-building.
  • Lead employee engagement efforts—strengthening team cohesion and ownership of RADS’ mission.
  • Handle grievance redressal and conflict resolution with fairness and sensitivity.

2)   Strategic Digital Transformation

  • Design and implement HR automation and digitization—especially via MS Planner

and nGAGE.

  • Identify pain points across RADS systems and use AI/digital solutions to streamline workflows—without needing direction.
  • Maintain and evolve HRMIS, leave management, appraisal systems, and organization-wide work plans.

3)   External Engagement & Compliance

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external consultants, trainers, and compliance auditors.
  • Ensure alignment with local labor laws, donor expectations, and internal policies.
  • Support compliance on safeguarding, workplace safety, and organizational ethics.

4)   Reporting & Insight

  • Manage regular reporting on HR indicators and data dashboards.
  • Ensure real-time documentation and transparency across all HR systems.

5)    Requirements / Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (HEC recognized).
  • 4–6 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in NGOs/INGOs.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and donor compliance.
  • Experience with HR systems, MS Planner, and nGAGE preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and digital tools.
  • High integrity and ability to handle confidential matters.
