Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Female Education Specialist to lead teacher capacity-building initiatives, refine pedagogical approaches, and ensure quality education delivery in both formal and non-formal settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teacher training, curriculum alignment, and education program management, particularly within Afghan refugee communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to teachers and education staff.
- Review and enhance teaching methodologies to promote child-centered, inclusive, activity-based, and joyful learning practices.
- Design and implement teacher training programs focusing on multi-grade teaching, student assessment, and learning outcomes.
- Ensure ALP curriculum/packages comply with government and donor standards.
- Establish and maintain coordination with the KP Elementary & Secondary Education Department, Directorate of Professional Development (DPD), and ALP PIU to strengthen primary and secondary education.
- Develop assessment/exam strategies for Refugee Village schools and ALP Centres.
- Conduct training needs assessments and deliver capacity-building sessions for teachers and facilitators.
- Support the development of lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning assessment tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Minimum 16 years of education with a Master’s in Education (M.Ed.).
- Experience:
- At least 5 years in the NGO sector, including 2-3 years in formal and non-formal education programs (Accelerated Learning Program - ALP).
- Proven experience in teacher training, pedagogical assessments, and curriculum development.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in formal and non-formal education systems, particularly ALP.
- Strong knowledge of child-centered, inclusive, and gender-sensitive teaching methodologies.
- Proficiency in developing lesson plans, teaching aids, and student assessment tools.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in Pashto and Urdu (required); proficiency in English (preferred).
- Commitment to working with refugee and marginalized communities.

- Preference will be given to female candidates from Peshawar Division.
