Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer to oversee project activities, ensure effective implementation, and maintain accountability in alignment with organizational and donor requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in education programs (formal and non-formal), strong analytical skills, and a commitment to serving refugee communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to project sites to assess progress and compliance.
- Organize de-briefing sessions with staff to review project indicators and performance.
- Develop human interest stories and success narratives to highlight project impact.
- Ensure transparency and accountability to beneficiaries through effective communication and complaint response mechanisms.
- Analyze baseline surveys and other project data to support reporting and documentation.
- Monitor training implementation and provide on-site support to field teams.
- Facilitate capacity-building trainings for staff and stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records, including activity snapshots and progress reports.
- Identify bottlenecks and challenges, proposing actionable solutions.
- Update and maintain the monitoring framework/plan regularly.
- Submit daily updates, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress and targets.
- Develop monthly work plans based on priority challenges and project needs.
- Ensure the project indicator database is consistently updated.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Minimum 16 years of education in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years in the NGO sector, including 1-2 years in education programs (formal and non-formal, such as Accelerated Learning Programs - ALP).
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong familiarity with local culture and norms in KP, particularly in refugee communities.
- Excellent analytical, observational, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and presentation tools.
- Fluency in English and Pashto (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel extensively to remote refugee villages.
- Strong commitment to education development and working with Afghan refugee communities.
Note:
- Preference will be given to candidates from Kohat Division.
